CDL Truck Drivers

Mechanic

Merrick Sand and Gravel is seeking a truck mechanic with a minimum 3 years' experience, 5-10+ preferred working on vocational trucks and construction equipment.  Must have working knowledge in diesel engines, hydraulics, electronics, and DOT regulations.  Experience with Oshkosh front discharge mixers is a plus.

Responsibilities: 

  • We are looking for a mechanic with a Class A CDL, inspection license and clean driving record.
  • Candidate must be organized, proficient with technology and able to communicate clearly.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to work overtime / flexible schedule.
  • Must be self-motivated and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must bring own tools.

Equipment Operator

Merrick Sand and Gravel is seeking an Equipment Operator who is responsible for maintaining proper supply of materials to the plant, performing daily maintenance / minor repairs to plant and mobile equipment.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Operating various equipment around the plant safely.
  • Must be able to maintain a clean / organized stockyard and bin area.
  • Perform daily inspection of equipment.
  • Must have good interperonsal skills with co-workers and customers.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work overtime / flexible schedule.
